To the Chalet
At Williton, follow the A39 towards Minehead. Best to ignore all signs for Blue Anchor until you get to Carhampton as the other lanes are narrow and twisty.
At Carhampton, turn right onto B3191 for Blue Anchor. Follow towards sea, just over a mile.
Go over level crossing at the bottom (West Somerset Railway) and IMMEDIATELY turn left into West Beach Chalet park. Go through farm gate and number 61 is the second chalet (left hand semi of first building)

To the Flat
At Williton, turn right at the roundabout by the supermarket, marked Watchet. Follow to T junction, about a mile, and turn right. You’ll see a blue anchor.
Follow road down into the town and turn left towards Blue Anchor, over the railway bridge.
Continue on this high street, called Swain Street, very narrow in places. You go past Post Office, but keep going as you need to get behind it. At bottom of town, by marina, road turns 90 degrees to left, follow it. Watchet Museum now on your right. Straight after it, turn left in Car Park (marked P).
Go past public conveniences in the middle of car park and entrance to flats is on left hand side, just before the recycling centre.
If there is room, you can park outside flat to load and unload, but it’s best to put your car in the car park The area in front of the flats is a pedestrian way through to the shops etc in Swain Street, and wheelchair access is needed.

Journey time and other hints
It takes about 50 minutes to the Chalet and 40 minutes to the Flat from either M5 junction (rough guide only!)
On the A39 from Bridgwater, you can cut through to Watchet from St Audries, via Donniford. This can save time, but the lane is quite twisty and Watchet’s small streets can get quite congested in season. There is a great coast road between Watchet and Blue Anchor once you have cleared the town. Time saved taking this cut rarely more than 5 minutes, even if it’s all clear.
